How it works
Step 1: Tell us your situation
Where your licence is from, where you live now and when you moved. Asking costs nothing.
Step 2: Get your route and checklist
We reply with your route, your deadline and a fixed quote if you want our help.
Step 3: Apply with confidence
You submit to the authority with a complete, checked application.
Clear fees
Our fee and the official fee are always shown separately. You pay official fees directly to the authority.

Fishing in Germany needs two permissions: a Fischereischein and a permit for the water. Our English guides explain both.
Fishing licence rules by stateFrequently asked questions
Can I apply to the authority myself?
Yes. Every procedure on this site can be done directly with the authority, and our guides explain how. Most people who use us want certainty about their route and deadline, or help preparing documents in another language. If your case is simple, we will tell you so and point you to the official page.
Are you a government service?
We're an independent private company, separate from DVLA, RDW, Transportstyrelsen, ANTS, DGT, HM Passport Office and every other authority. We help you with the official process; the authority decides on your application, and its fees are paid to it, separately from ours.
What do you charge, and what does the authority charge?
We quote a fixed fee once we understand your situation, before you commit to anything. Official fees (for example the £43 DVLA exchange fee or the €40 French stamp) are always separate and paid by you directly to the authority. Our fees page explains how it works.
Someone offered me a licence without exams. Is that real?
No. Driving licences are only issued by the authority after you meet its requirements. If your licence is on an exchange list, tests may not be required, and we can check that for you. But anyone selling a licence "without exams" or a "registered" licence for a fee is running a scam. Report it to the police.
Can I exchange my International Driving Permit?
No. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is a translation of your licence, issued by the country that issued the licence. It is not a licence itself and cannot be exchanged. You exchange the original national licence. Where an IDP helps, you get it in the issuing country, before you travel.
